ABout Sid

Sidharth Nair (Sid) is a student at Hopkinton High School with a strong passion for mental and physical health, molecular science, and how early-life stress affects long-term well-being.

Inspired by his own experiences and the challenges many faced/ continue to face in the post-COVID world, Sid advocates for better grief support and resources in public schools. He has been volunteering at local grief support non-profit organizations since 2021 and is a trained Junior Counselor.

Betsy Flores, Program Director

Rick’s Place

Through his initiative, he works to connect expert clinicians and grantor organizations with public schools. He is also passionate about shaping public policy to ensure that grief support becomes a consistent and compassionate part of student care.

At the heart of his work is a focus on building resilience in children—helping them face challenges with a mindset to learn, grow, and heal. This belief is embodied in the Phoenix logo, symbolizing strength through adversity and hope through healing.
